Ocean Freight Coordination

Discuss international container and ocean transport requirements with the VEXO team. Availability and provider scope require written confirmation.

Container ship and terminal tractor at an ocean port

International ocean shipments depend on a sequence of bookings, documents, terminal deadlines and inland movements. VEXO Logistics can discuss your requirements and review coordination with appropriately authorized ocean service providers before a shipment scope is accepted.

Understand the available shipment formats

Full-container-load service uses dedicated container space for an accepted shipment. Less-than-container-load service combines smaller shipments in a shared container and normally involves consolidation and deconsolidation. The suitable option depends on volume, cargo compatibility, handling requirements and the origin and destination.

Plan the complete origin to destination scope

Clarify whether the proposal covers port-to-port transport or also includes pickup, packing, terminal handling, customs-related services and final delivery. Identify the named providers and contracting parties for regulated ocean services. VEXO’s coordination role does not, by itself, establish that it acts as an ocean carrier, NVOCC or licensed ocean freight forwarder.

Prepare cargo and shipping documents

Share the commodity, packaged dimensions, weight, value, ready date, shipment terms and parties involved. The appointed provider will confirm document requirements, booking instructions, container requirements and applicable cutoffs. Dangerous goods, batteries, oversized pieces and temperature-sensitive products require early disclosure and specific acceptance.

Compare the full cost and timeline

Ocean transport involves more than sailing time. Vessel schedules, transshipment, port processing, customs release and local delivery all affect arrival. Confirm origin and destination charges, free-time terms, duties and taxes where relevant, and which costs sit outside the quote. Sailing and arrival estimates can change.

Common questions

Can a small shipment move by ocean? LCL may be available through an appropriate provider. Packaging, minimum charges and handling should be compared with the shipment’s needs.

Does an ocean quote include inland delivery? Only when the stated scope includes it. Confirm the exact origin and destination points covered.

Discuss an ocean shipment

Send origin and destination, cargo details, ready date, shipping terms and the inland services required. Availability and provider responsibilities must be confirmed in writing.
