When full truckload makes sense
Full truckload can suit a trailer-sized order, regular distribution replenishment or a smaller shipment that needs exclusive trailer use. It is often considered when reducing transfers and keeping freight together matter more than sharing space. Common dry van shipments include packaged consumer goods, retail stock, components and other products that do not require temperature control.
Plan the equipment around the freight
A dry van protects freight from ordinary outdoor exposure but does not actively control temperature. Pallet count alone does not establish whether a load will fit: dimensions, weight distribution, packaging, door clearance and loading equipment all matter. Does the trailer have to be completely full? No. You can request dedicated capacity for a smaller shipment when exclusive use or a direct movement is the priority.
Is a delivery appointment a guarantee? An appointment sets the receiving window. A delivery commitment must be specifically confirmed, taking account of transit conditions and available capacity.
