1. Current browser preference storage
1.1 The site records a cookie-choice preference in local storage so the browser can remember the selection. Local storage is a browser mechanism distinct from an HTTP cookie. It can persist until cleared by the user or browser. The stored choice is not a shipment record or a substitute for a privacy request.
1.2 Clearing browser site data removes the preference and may cause the notice to appear again. Using another device or browser does not automatically transfer the choice. Private-browsing behaviour depends on the browser and its settings.
2. Necessary and optional technologies
2.1 Necessary technologies support a specifically requested function, security or basic page operation. Analytics, advertising and unrelated personalisation are different purposes and require their own assessment. Classification should reflect the actual function, not a convenient label.
2.2 The production site must inventory the cookies and similar technologies actually used, identify their providers and purposes, and implement any required consent or opt-out mechanism. These terms are not a representation that unknown third-party scripts are necessary or have been approved.
3. External content and links
3.1 A remotely loaded image, font or embedded service can disclose connection information to its host even if no cookie is visibly set. An external link can take the user to a separate website with its own storage and privacy practices. Review that destination before supplying personal information.
3.2 VEXO shall assess external resources introduced during deployment. A cookie banner cannot by itself stop a resource request unless the implementation actually blocks or delays it. Providers and retention details should be added to this notice from the final scan.
4. Choice, withdrawal and browser controls
4.1 Users may manage cookies and site data using browser settings. Blocking certain technologies can affect requested functions; any specific consequence should be explained accurately. Required consent should be as easy to withdraw as it is to provide, with the withdrawal applied to future relevant processing.
4.2 A website preference does not erase information already lawfully submitted or automatically delete third-party records. For personal-information requests, use the privacy contact. If applicable law requires a recognised opt-out signal, production behaviour must be tested against that requirement.
5. Changes to the technology inventory
5.1 Before introducing analytics, remarketing, recordings, chat, tracking pixels or embedded accounts, VEXO must assess the data collected, recipients, retention, legal basis and user controls. Update the notice and obtain new permission when required before activating the technology.
5.2 The review record should identify the scanned site version and date, including mobile and embedded paths. A historical scan is not evidence that a later deployment behaves the same way. Report an unexpected technology to dispatch@vexologistics.com with the page and approximate time.
